1024

what is the first thing ever comes to your mind when you see the number 1024 !!!
is it 2^10 ? or is it the least number with 11(exact) divisors ??
or its mega, giga or tera BYTES ???

if your answer is the last one, you are most welcome to my blog, else I guess wheres the exit(click on the cross, looks like X, button on the RHS top corner).

it was a common question till some times before, how many RAM/HDD Space do you have? and from where 1024 first appears from, unless you are a geek already or doing bachelor's in CS(no no not Counter Strike, i meant Computer Science). in metric system I learn tonnes, quintal etc after the KILOs. but not MEGA, GIGA, TERA etc. it was my new IBM ThinkCenter that made me to google for these and I ended up with 1024.

"64 KB of memory ought to be enough for anyone" ........Bill Gates.

And now.....check out in any hardware forum, just see the signatures of most of the users have something like "500GB+500GB+200GB+.......". Its just as we have evolved from 1.44MB Floppy to 50GB blue-ray.

its nothing to conclude or coming to conclusion. It will be another humorous quote, like the Bill Gates made a decade before, if I dare to comment on powers of 1024.
